Why do most American women wear lipgloss all the time? How young do they start?

I've noticed that the majority colour their hair blond, wear black mascara and baby pink lip gloss. And, their hair is usually dead straight, too. It's like seeing the same person everywhere. What happened to variety being the spice of life?Why do most American women wear lipgloss all the time? How young do they start?
I don't know, I never really see them wear it except in Porno filmsWhy do most American women wear lipgloss all the time? How young do they start?
Because it looks good.
Oh, there's a lot of variety out there. You may not be living in an area that has a lot of cultural differences. I live in Portland, Or which is considered ';the melting pot';. You will find all different kinds of people here.
they start at like 10
don't know where u're looking, but what u think is the majority really isn't out of me %26amp; my 5 best friends, only one of us has straight blonde hair %26amp; that's me lip gloss makes your lips feel good %26amp; keeps them moisturized i started wearing it at probably 13 or so
Who are you talking about? That is a very generalized question.
well I am african american and I wear lip gloss(not baby pink) and mascara. Most of them are trying to be something that they are not. There is a variety its just that to some people blonde hair is in style.
Well, I'm not American, but I do have a lip gloss addiction. I probably started wearing it in grade 5 or 6 I think. I think because lipgloss isn't that moisturizing, the more you use it, the more your lips dry out, so you think you need more.

And I'm a brunette, and my hair is curly....... but ya, it's black mascara all the way. And pink lipgloss cuz, well, it looks good on everyone.
I have no idea...but it creeps me out too.. =\

Personally I don't understand why women, or men for that matter want to dye there hair color. I love my hair color..and even though I have never dyed my hair it's mutilcolored. Mostly because I go outside alot and the sun has changed my hair color..It is mostly brown with red, black and a bit of blonde in it.

Also I can't stand wearing lip gloss. If I do it's going to be a brownish because brown tones look better on me. I'm tan really tan and with my dark hair the color pink DOES NOT LOOK GOOD ON ME! In clothes..yes..but not lip gloss..*shudders*

I usually just use chap stick lol. I personally think that everyone should be proud of who they are and not try to ';fit'; in with the majority crowd. But if they want to them let them because it makes us, who don't try to conform to everyone else, Just that much more unique :)
Well, I guess it's because it suits them... their skin tone, their hair color, their weather, their culture... lucky for them they can always have smokey eyes. It wouldn't look great as theirs on other people from other countries on a daily basis though. I also think that celebrities are some of the many influences for their makeup style. They also use other colors but I it looks like smokey eyes with pink glossed lips has become their traditional everyday makeup look.
its pretty and most of the time they cant think of their own style
It starts at like age 2 (I have a 2 year old that wears lipsgloss). The idea of that being what is accepted comes from TV we are no longer creative people with our own style we are a generation of Mannequins wearing the ';lastest style';
